** Note to Devs: I’d really like a playable HEALER class. Shaman, Druid, Cleric, Paladin, whatever. Also, a Necromancer, or even playable Bard. Also I would love larger group sizes into combat with compositions being important for some encounters. Also, barbarians seem to have more useful loot than wardens right now? I’ve been on an idle-game binge lately, and Steam’s refund system has seen a lot of action because I’m picky. I refunded: Idle Crown Idle Village Eldara Visseron Idle Cultivation Lootun Fractured Realms Every one of them had something I wanted, but they all eventually fell into the same traps: shallow progression, repetitive gameplay, lack of automation, or just not enough meaningful systems to keep me engaged. Vespera is the first one that actually stuck. It feels like it was designed by people who genuinely enjoy incremental games. Instead of one progression bar, you’re constantly unlocking new systems—classes, talents, gathering, crafting, mercenaries, factions, dungeons, offline progression, and long-term goals. Every session gives you something new to work toward instead of simply watching numbers go up. The automation is excellent. You’re making strategic decisions rather than babysitting the game every few seconds, which is exactly what I want from an idle RPG. It respects your time without becoming a glorified spreadsheet. I also appreciate the lack of microtransactions. In a genre where many games eventually become cash shops disguised as idle games, having a premium game focused on gameplay is refreshing. Is it perfect? No. It’s Early Access, so there’s obviously room for more content, balancing, and polish. But unlike so many other idle games I’ve tried recently, this one has a solid foundation that makes me excited to see where it goes. If you’re looking for an idle RPG with actual depth instead of another cookie-cutter clicker, this is an easy recommendation. After refunding six other idle games in a row, this is the one that earned a permanent spot in my library.
