This game does a lot of things right for idle/incremental games: * Graphics look inspired by WC2 and look great * Gets the auto battling and auto looting up pretty early and painlessly * Big upgrade tree, decent variety of units and builds you can think of trying * Satisfying to create new armies and clear hordes of humans But it also has a glaringly big problem: it’s way too easy with pretty much the first build the game expects you to try. Usually I’d expect I’d need to have at least a couple of resets for upgrades, a giant army, somewhat careful placement, maybe a little RNG luck on draws, and good upgrades to beat the big bad at the end. Instead, in my second run using a build the game does everything to tell you to try I killed everything in the game in seconds. I felt like I just started playing. I then tried other builds with the now boatful of upgrade points and the power levels weren’t remotely close, so it felt a bit disheartening when one upgrade path got you slightly stronger attacks or buffs and debuffs but the most basic build gets you unkillable death machines that stomp everything on the map in a second. That said, it’s still fun and worth a play at its current price, but just be aware it doesn’t take much or very long to sweep through every enemy and achievement.
